Sous Chef

We are currently recruiting for a Sous Chef. We are looking for a passionate chef that is driven and can lead the team to deliver an excellent standard of cuisine. This chef needs to be creative, can train and develop the team and be proactive in menu planning. We are looking for a real foodie chef.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure full adherence to Hygiene and Safety in the kitchen.
  • Support the kitchen operations for the property
  • Support the team in their duties
  • Lead by example in excellent food production
  • Assist in the training of existing and new staff in accordance to standards
  • To pass on all knowledge that will help the property in its day-to-day running
  • Maintain a high level of food quality which will exceed guest’s expectations with every dish.
  • Collaborate with the team in the compilation of creative and innovative menus.      

 

Requirements:

  • Be capable of producing high quality food in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent people management skills and the ability to mentor team
  • Qualification in culinary arts desirable, but not essential
  • Excellent hygiene and HACCP Experience
  • Must have passion and be driven
  • Coming from a restaurant/hotel background and up to date with current trends.
