We are recruiting for a Sales & Marketing Manager for a 4* property in Kilkenny.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Focus:
- Actively pursue and refer sales leads to Sales Executives
- Maximising revenue from all market segments i.e., Conference, Events, Wedding, Room Hire and Food & Beverage
- Achieving set annual sales targets – Room Hire, Conference and Functions
- Undertake site visits and show arounds as required
- Servicing of existing Key Corporate, Leisure and Conference Accounts for the Hotel
- Identify and develop new Key Corporate, Leisure and Conference Accounts for the Hotel
- In conjunction with the Marketing Manager, target and develop an agreed level of PR exposure and activity for the hotel
- Organise and liaise with the team to attend trade showcases and wedding fairs
Management Focus:
- Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the sales department
- To put emphasis on the Hotel’s Brand Standards and ensure that they are being followed at all times
- Review the Mystery Shopper report, feedback to team and create a plan for improvement if necessary
- Direct management and development of the Sales Executives
- Conduct weekly sales meetings with the Sales Executives – review Mindaclient reports and progress sales actions
- Manage the administrative function of the department – i.e., ensure correct preparation of the function sheets
- Ensure the quality of all correspondence to clients and that quotes, emails and literature are in line with Hotel standard
- Ensure that the correct information is shared with accounts and resolve any issues effectively
Strategic / Reporting:
- Management of annual “Sales & Marketing Plan” for the Hotel in conjunction with the Marketing Manager
- Forecast the monthly revenue for meetings and conference & banqueting
- Prepare a monthly and quarterly report that outlines progress against targets in all key market segments and against the “Sales & Marketing Plan”
- Complete monthly report for accurate tracking of corporate business i.e., “Corporate Tracker”
