Revenue Manager

**We are recruiting for a Hotel Revenue Manager** Must come from a hospitality background**

What are we looking for:

  • An experienced individual who has a proven track record as a Revenue Manager with an excellent knowledge of the local market.
  • An individual with excellent knowledge of yield management, keen financial and commercial acumen and excellent analytical skills
  • An experienced hospitality individual who has a strong understanding of all revenues across the business to include rooms, spa and food & beverage.
  • Someone with a strong focus on the segmentation mix within the business.
  • A team player who can work alongside the Sales & Events teams to deliver the corporate volume rate strategy whilst reviewing competitors’ performances.

Main Duties:

  • Oversee revenue management and distribution strategy of the hotels and manage day to day yield operations.
  • Daily pick-up analysis, strategy adjustments and reporting.
  • Perform competitive benchmark studies and follow market trends.
  • Provide weekly dynamic forecast of expected results, variances and budget comparisons.
  • Manage and oversee strategy for all 3rd party distribution channels.
  • Analyse overall monthly hotel performance and provide summary report with recommendations to improve long term strategies.
  • Ensure all related systems are configured correctly, validated and working to full capacity.
  • Ensure web site booking process is maintained up-to-date and functional.
  • Regularly check the input and the quality of data (segmentation, denials tracking, etc…) points.
  • Evaluate performance of distribution partners and contracted rates (OTA, FIT, tour operator, corporate, consortia, crew, groups, etc…).
  • Reduce the cost of distribution by finding new less expensive means of delivering business.
  • Prepare outline for and support the annual revenue budget process.
  • Inspire Hotel’s HODs to further embed a revenue management culture.
  • To implement the overall pricing strategy to include market segments and distribution channels.
  • Ensure effective pricing strategies are in place relative to our competitors.
  • Effectively manage room stock and implement the pricing strategy in all distribution channels including own brand, third party sites and GDS.
  • Daily monitoring of market pricing and review hotel’s pricing appropriately
  • Responsible for effective implementation and compliance of all Reservations and Revenue SOP’s.
  • Ensure that all revenue is attributed to the correct revenue outlet and that it is monitored daily.
  • Ensure rate parity across all booking channels.
  • Prepare weekly revenue forecasts for distribution to management.
  • Oversee the Reservations department.
  • Compile all daily/weekly/monthly revenue reports as necessary.

 

Requirements

  • Hotsoft proficient
  • Minimum of 3 years’ hotel revenue management experience
  • Must be a self-starter and strong closer, with multi-tasking ability
  • Excellent levels of personal motivation and organisation
  • Experienced in revenue at both operational and management levels
  • Effective communicator to clients and colleagues, individually and in groups; with the capacity to provide clear written reports.
  • Confident, ambitious and pro-active
  • Seeks out challenges and is driven by success
  • Track record in revenue target success and over-achievement essential
