Junior Sous Pastry Chef
A luxury hotel with a high-end pastry offering is seeking a talented Junior Sous Pastry Chef to support its pastry team. This role is ideal for an ambitious pastry professional looking to step into a senior position within a structured, quality-driven environment focused on precision, consistency, and excellence.
Your Responsibilities:
- Support the Pastry Sous Chef and Head Pastry Chef in daily pastry operations
- Assist in managing pastry production across restaurant, banqueting, and events
- Maintain high standards of presentation, consistency, and quality
- Supervise and train junior pastry chefs and commis staff
- Assist with stock control, ordering, and cost management
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
- Contribute to menu development and seasonal dessert creation
Requirements
- Previous experience in a pastry chef role within a hotel or high-end kitchen
- Strong technical pastry skills including desserts, baking, and finishing
- Experience supporting junior staff and leading sections
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Passion for pastry and continuous skill development
