Title: Head Pastry Chef
Salary: €50-55k
Location: Tipperary
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Extensive knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods, and ingredient functionalities at this level.
- Attention to detail and a passion for creating visually stunning and delicious desserts.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools used in pastry production.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent team management skills.
- Ability to develop menus and train and develop a team of pastry chefs.
Candidate:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the pastry section of a 5-star hotel or Michelin recommended restaurant preferable.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Have a desire to progress in the role.
- Have a strong understanding of baking, especially breads.
- To be creative in relation to recipes, dishes, and menus.
- Will work closely with the head chefs to develop new menu items.
- To be versatile and willing to learn.
