Head Chef

We’re recruiting an ambitious and highly capable Head Chef to lead the kitchen of a busy 108-bedroom hotel known for delivering large-scale events, vibrant seasonal functions, and consistently high-quality service. As the property is about to enter it’s busiest time, this is an exciting opportunity to take full ownership of a fast-paced kitchen and lead a dedicated brigade to success.
Responsibilities
- The Head Chef will oversee the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen and all food outlets
- Lead and motivate the team to maintain quality, consistency, and efficiency across all service periods
- Plan and deliver high-volume event catering (up to 200 pax)
- The Head Chef Will collaborate with senior leadership on menu development, food trends, and seasonal offerings
- Maintain food safety, HACCP compliance, and cost controls
- Ensure strong GP performance and accurate stock management
- Recruit, train, and develop team members to meet service and safety standards
Requirements
- Proven experience as Head Chef or Senior Sous in a high-volume hotel or event setting
- Strong team leadership and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and organised under pressure
- Strong knowledge of HACCP and kitchen compliance standards
- Experience with cost control, purchasing, and stock systems
Rewards
- Up to €65,000 depending on experience
