Burren Amber is partnering with a wonderful luxury hotel property in Cork to find a dynamic, hands-on Facilities Manager to lead our maintenance and safety efforts and join our passionate team.
About the Role This vital role combines facilities management, preventive maintenance, and project oversight. As our Facilities Manager, you will work closely with the leadership team to ensure our property operates smoothly, overseeing maintenance teams, managing utilities and waste costs, and championing top-tier health and safety standards across all areas.
Key Requirements

Proven background in delivering facilities management, maintenance, and project management services.

Consistent track record in budget oversight and cost control.

Experience in a management role, with a strong talent for leading and developing people.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and planning abilities with a positive, guest-focused attitude.

Deep knowledge of health and safety legislation, compliance, and risk management practices.
Core Duties

Oversee preventive and curative maintenance measures across the entire property and its equipment.

Manage the maintenance team, monitor outside contractors, and direct refurbishment projects.

Take charge of utilities, waste management, and ad hoc project costs while keeping budgets on track.

Develop, maintain, and champion health and safety strategies, policies, and fire management protocols.

Carry out regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and thorough investigations into any incidents to ensure a safe environment for everyone
