Executive Head Chef – Private Hospital, Limerick

Salary: €65,000 
Hours: Daytime, 5 days over 7

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Executive Head Chef for our client, to lead the culinary team at a leading private hospital in Limerick. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented chef who takes pride in creating nutritious, high-quality, and beautifully presented food that enhances the patient and visitor experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire a dedicated kitchen team to deliver exceptional food standards across all services – patient meals, staff dining, and hospitality catering.

  • Develop and oversee innovative, nutritious, and well-balanced menus in line with dietary requirements and hospital standards.

  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP regulations.

  • Manage budgets, food costs, and supplier relationships effectively.

  • Drive excellence in service, presentation, and consistency across all meals.

  • Work closely with the clinical nutrition and management teams to maintain the highest standards of quality and care.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Fully qualified chef with extensive experience in high-volume catering or healthcare/hospitality settings.

  • Proven track record in kitchen leadership and menu development.

  • Excellent communication, organisational, and people-management skills.

  • Strong understanding of special dietary requirements and nutritional standards.

  • Passionate about delivering great food and exceptional service in a caring environment.
