Director of Sales & Marketing

We are currently recruiting for a Director of Sales & Marketing for our client. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven, sales focus director to take the next step in their career. The ideal candidate will have experience in the Irish hotel market at a senior level. As the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for developing and executing innovative sales and marketing strategies to maximize revenue and manage relationships with corporate clients and partners.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop the overall sales strategy for the sales team.
  • Develop the marketing, brand, and sales strategy for the property.
  • Develop new markets in line with the overall hotel sales strategy and analyse and report on these activities.
  • Provide leadership to the sales team on appropriate selling techniques and monitor team results and adjust activities to ensure objectives are being reached.
  • Work in conjunction with the Senior Management team to manage hotel bookings and availability to ensure maximum revenue opportunities are achievable.
  • Provide feedback on local market conditions.
  • Participate in Revenue meetings where required.
  • Prepare the budget for department and forecasting.
  • Develop and implement goals and strategies for department.
  • Develop good working relationships with key accounts.
  • Sell rooms, conference, food & beverage and other hotel services.
  • Monitor account production and implement strategies to ensure achievement of quarterly and annual sales.
  • Ensure that all sales reports and data generated from the Sales & Marketing team are recorded on systems.
  • Ensure all reports required in relation to the Sales & Marketing.
  • Monitor service and teamwork on a regular basis and offer input on enhancing value.
  • Develop sales training to all departments in the hotel.
  • Ensure the correct sales approach is being taken by all employees in line with hotel sales strategy.
  • Oversee the public marketing activities of the hotel.
  • Develop the advertising strategy for the hotel in line with the budget.
  • Oversee online marketing of brand website, social channels, and brand presence across all online platforms.
  • Manage and produce marketing material.
  • Develop social media strategy to assist marketing and sales.
  • Develop on-site promotional activities.
