Job Title: Food Services Manager

Reporting To: General Manager

Position Summary:

The Food Services Manager is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the seamless and efficient functioning of all food departments at the Hotel estate, with a strong focus on enhancing guest experiences and driving overall profitability while upholding the property standards. This role serves as a brand ambassador, embodying the company’s People First approach, and ensures all activities align with company policies, procedures, and regulations.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the comprehensive operations, including direct management of all Food Services
  • Ensure the food department operates flawlessly, delivering exceptional guest service experiences while adhering to property and company standards.
  • Proactively maximize guest satisfaction and comfort, demonstrating a positive and responsive approach to inquiries and problem resolution.
  • Develop and implement strategies that identify key food and beverage metrics, communicate them effectively, and deliver on defined initiatives and targets. Maintain reports and tracking tools accordingly.
  • Continuously refine and elevate the culinary offerings, and service standards to exceed guest expectations. Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative and captivating menus.
  • Lead the team in maintaining immaculate cleanliness, order, and ambiance throughout the dining areas, lounges, bars, and banquet facilities, ensuring they consistently meet or exceed luxury standards.
  • Implement rigorous training programs for the food and beverage staff, focusing on service excellence, product knowledge, and guest engagement to create memorable dining experiences.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local suppliers and vendors to ensure a consistent supply of high-quality, fresh ingredients, beverages, and supplies, while also exploring opportunities for local and sustainable sourcing.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels, reducing waste and ensuring cost-effective stock control, while still providing an extensive and enticing range of offerings.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to design and execute promotional campaigns, special events, and dining experiences that attract both in-house and external guests.
  • Implement efficient and sustainable operational practices in alignment with environmental and sustainability goals, minimizing the hotel’s ecological footprint while enhancing guest satisfaction.
  • Actively participate in industry associations and stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices, implementing relevant innovations in the food department.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, sanitation standards, and food safety protocols, while maintaining accurate records and conducting regular internal audits.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience in a food and beverage/operations role, ideally within esteemed 4 and 5-star hotel properties.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and adaptability to change.
  • Strong leadership and influencing abilities, characterized by a hands-on approach and leading by example.
  • A steadfast commitment to delivering exceptional guest service, coupled with a genuine passion for the hospitality industry.
