    Burren Amber is delighted to recruit for an experienced and dynamic Deputy General Manager on behalf of a prestigious luxury property in Kerry. This pivotal role requires a strategic, hands-on leader who will support the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, driving excellence across all departments, and ensuring the property maintains its outstanding reputation for world-class hospitality.

    You will be instrumental in leading a dedicated team, optimizing financial performance, and delivering an unforgettable, seamless experience for every guest.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Operational Leadership: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring all departments run efficiently, cohesively, and to the highest luxury standards.

    • Team Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire department heads and supervisors, fostering a culture of continuous training, high performance, and strong staff retention.

    • Financial & Strategic Management: Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost management across departments to maximize profitability without compromising on service quality.

    • Guest Relations: Maintain a visible and welcoming presence, engaging with guests to ensure total satisfaction and swiftly resolving any issues with professionalism and grace.

    • Compliance & Standards: Ensure full compliance with health and safety, HACCP, and employment legislation across the property, maintaining rigorous quality control.

    Requirements

    • Experience: Proven track record as a Deputy General Manager, Operations Manager, or senior department head within a luxury hotel or high-end hospitality environment.

    • Skills: Exceptional leadership, strategic planning, and financial acumen, paired with outstanding communication skills.

    • Attributes: A passionate hospitality professional with meticulous attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and a natural gift for people management.

    • Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as required by the business.

    • Eligibility: Must currently hold the legal right to live and work in Ireland without restriction.
