Cluster Assistant Financial Controller €50k 

We are currently recruiting for a Cluster Assistant FC for our client, this is a excellent opportunity for a candidate looking to take the next step in their career. We are looking a person who has covered all aspects of the accounts department, who is driven and a strong team manager. 

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of weekly financial reports including forecasting of profits, cash, and payroll.
  • Weekly/ monthly payroll preparation and processing.
  • Overseeing the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  • Management of all financial queries from internal and external parties.
  • Control of the cash & banking function of the hotels through the maintenance of the daily income audit, monitoring of the cash handling procedures throughout the properties and providing training where appropriate.
  • Monitor & implement systems to constantly improve & develop department standards in relation to controls in terms of stock and cash, together with ongoing monitoring and analysis in terms of costings and margins.
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts to Trial balance.
  • Preparation of month end journals to include accruals, prepayments, and depreciation.
  • Responsibility for maintaining accurate accounting records and provide financial reports for the Hotels.
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assisting with the Internal Audit.
  • ROS VAT/ PAYE returns.
  • Day-to-day management of the Finance office.

Requirements:

  • System experience of Sage, Sage payroll and Procure Wizard.
  • Good exposure to GL, management accounts, with good all round accounting experience in a busy finance function.
  • The ideal candidate will demonstrate accounting experience, preferably in a hospitality or retail sector.
  • Team Player and able to motivate and manage the team.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Excellent computer skills with a high-level understanding of Excel.
  •  2-3 years’ proven experience in an accountancy role
  • Own transport required.
