Chef de Partie

Wicklow, Full Time

My Client is looking for an experienced Chef de Partie who is comfortable working under the supervision of a Head Chef and also under their own initiative. You will be part of a team in revamped kitchen. This is a fast-paced environment and experience working in volume operations will be a benefit.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing, cooking and presenting high quality dishes within your speciality section
  • Assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes
  • Preparing meat and fish
  • Assisting with the management of health and safety
  • Assisting with the management of food hygiene practices
  • Managing and training any Commis Chefs
  • Monitoring portion and waste control
  • Overseeing the maintenance of kitchen and food safety standards

Requirements and skills:

  • Minimum 1 years relevant experience
  • Awareness of manual handling techniques
  • Awareness of HACCP procedures
  • Experience of kitchen equipment
  • Understandable level of English spoken and written
    • Team management skills
    • High level of attention to detail
    • Adaptability to change and willingness to embrace new ideas and processes
    • Team player qualities
