Catering Manager – Monday to Friday

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Catering Manager for our client, based in Dundalk.

Location: Dundalk, Co.Louth

Hours: Monday to Friday 7am – 3pm 

Salary: €45k plus bonus 

The Catering Manager will take ownership of the catering function on site, managing a dedicated team to deliver exceptional food services to staff and visitors. This role requires a strong leader with proven experience in contract catering, excellent people management skills, and a solid understanding of health & safety and HACCP standards, particularly within a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day catering operations, ensuring a consistently high standard of food and service delivery

  • Lead, train, and motivate a team of catering staff, ensuring effective scheduling, performance, and engagement

  • Oversee menu planning, stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships to deliver cost-effective solutions without compromising quality

  • Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards, including HACCP and client-specific requirements

  • Liaise with the client on-site to ensure expectations are met and exceeded, and that catering services align with the company’s policies and procedures

  • Monitor budgets, control costs, and prepare reports as required

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in catering services and customer experience

  • Handle any staff performance, disciplinary or grievance issues in line with HR and company policies

The Ideal Catering Manager:

  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a catering management or supervisory role (experience in contract catering or facilities management desirable)

  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and health & safety standards

  • Experience managing teams in a high-volume environment
