Bars Manager

We are actively recruiting for a Bars Manager for a busy 4* Property

We are looking for a self motivated, passionate manager with proven bars experience at management level, who possesses the ability to provide leadership and facilitate a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for all while developing and leading the Food and Beverage Team.

To ensure friendly and efficient service in the bar whilst controlling costs and maintaining agreed standards of performance to ensure they meet the consistent requirements dictated by the business.

Job Responsibilities.

  • Effectively manage daily operations coordinating all aspect of food and beverage service in the bar
  • Prepare effective staff rosters to ensure ample cover
  • Communicate effectively with employees to lead and guide the team as required during service / shift
  • Carry out skills training for all team members observing all shift and opening/ closing procedures to ensure consistence and compliance
  • Identify training requirements for team members and develop appropriate actions to meet these
  • Deal with complaints/queries in an attentive and courteous manner
  • Be responsible for bar stocks and ensure agreed control procedures are maintained
  • Promote in-house sales
  • Ensure orders are taken promptly and clearly
  • Ensure consistently high quality customer service provided

Experience/Qualifications

Must have a minimum of 2 years Bar Management experience in Hotels

  • Experience in managing busy Food and Beverage operations, Outlets, Events, meetings, including large Conferences, Weddings, banquets etc
  • Must hold relevant qualifications
  • Must have proven Management experience in Rostering, Purchasing, Ordering, stocktaking, Tills and cash management 
  • Proven people management experience
  • Proficient in Micros
  • Must display effective leadership and team management abilities
