Assistant Leisure Centre Manager 

To assist the Leisure Centre Manager in the overall operational management of the leisure centre, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services, safe facilities, and excellent customer experiences. This role involves supervising staff, supporting programs and activities, and contributing to the growth and efficiency of the centre.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Leisure Centre Manager in day-to-day operations, including front-of-house management, facilities maintenance, and customer service excellence.
  • Supervise, train, and motivate staff across reception, fitness, and sports programs.
  • Assist in the planning, promotion, and delivery of activities, classes, and events.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations.
  • Monitor financial performance, including budgets, revenue, and expenditure.
  • Maintain and report on operational standards, facility usage, and customer satisfaction.
  • Address customer concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Support marketing initiatives to increase participation and revenue.
  • Cover the responsibilities of the Leisure Centre Manager during absences.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Leisure Management, Sports Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a leisure, fitness, or hospitality environment.
  • Experience in managing budgets, staff, and operational processes.
  • First Aid and Health & Safety certifications preferred.
  • IT literacy and experience using booking/management systems.
