Assistant Hotel Maintenance Manager
Burren Amber is delighted to partner with a premier hotel property in Cork City to recruit a reliable and proactive Hotel Maintenance Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled, hands-on professional to support the department head in overseeing property upkeep and ensuring the smooth running of all building systems.
Key Responsibilities:

Daily Operations: Support the Maintenance Manager in managing the day-to-day upkeep of the hotel, ensuring guest rooms, public areas, and facilities are kept to the highest standards.

Reactive & Preventative Care: Troubleshoot and resolve daily maintenance requests, while assisting with the hotel’s preventative maintenance schedules.

Team Supervision: Help coordinate and guide the internal maintenance team and external contractors on-site, ensuring tasks are completed safely and efficiently.

Compliance & Safety: Assist in regular checks of fire safety, heating, and utility systems to ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations. Painting Skills are also essential.
The Ideal Candidate:

Strong trade or technical experience (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or general building maintenance).

Previous experience or a readiness to take the next step into a Hotel role.

A proactive, problem-solving mindset with excellent attention to detail.

A warm, cooperative approach and the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other hotel departments.
