Accommodation Manager

Salary: €35k

Location: Offaly

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the cleanliness, maintenance, and overall presentation of guest rooms and public areas.
  • Manage and lead the housekeeping team, including supervisors, room attendants, and laundry staff.
  • Schedule staff shifts and ensure adequate coverage for daily operations and peak periods.
  • Conduct regular inspections of rooms and public areas to ensure high standards are maintained.
  • Manage inventory and ordering of cleaning supplies, linen, and guest room amenities.
  • Monitor and manage department budgets, including labour costs and supply expenses.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and front office teams to address guest requests, room repairs, and lost-and-found procedures.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for cleaning, safety, and quality assurance.
  • Recruit, train, and evaluate team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and guest service excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with health, hygiene, and safety regulations, including fire procedures.
  • Handle guest complaints regarding accommodation issues, resolving them efficiently and professionally.

 

Candidate:

  • Proven experience in housekeeping or accommodation management in a hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
  • Good financial acumen and experience managing departmental budgets.
  • Knowledge of cleaning and hygiene products, equipment, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with property management systems (PMS) and housekeeping software
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
