Accommodation Manager
Salary: €35k
Location: Offaly
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee the cleanliness, maintenance, and overall presentation of guest rooms and public areas.
- Manage and lead the housekeeping team, including supervisors, room attendants, and laundry staff.
- Schedule staff shifts and ensure adequate coverage for daily operations and peak periods.
- Conduct regular inspections of rooms and public areas to ensure high standards are maintained.
- Manage inventory and ordering of cleaning supplies, linen, and guest room amenities.
- Monitor and manage department budgets, including labour costs and supply expenses.
- Collaborate with maintenance and front office teams to address guest requests, room repairs, and lost-and-found procedures.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for cleaning, safety, and quality assurance.
- Recruit, train, and evaluate team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and guest service excellence.
- Ensure compliance with health, hygiene, and safety regulations, including fire procedures.
- Handle guest complaints regarding accommodation issues, resolving them efficiently and professionally.
Candidate:
- Proven experience in housekeeping or accommodation management in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- Good financial acumen and experience managing departmental budgets.
- Knowledge of cleaning and hygiene products, equipment, and best practices.
- Familiarity with property management systems (PMS) and housekeeping software
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
