I am delighted to be recruiting on behalf of my client in the Wexford area for an exciting new position within their company. As Kitchen Operations Manager, you will oversee all back-of-house activities in a food service establishment primarily responsible for optimising kitchen workflow, managing staff, ensuring food quality and safety standards, controlling food and labour costs, and maintaining inventory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Staff Management: Recruit, train, schedule, and lead the kitchen team to ensure optimal coverage during peak hours and maintain high employee morale.
- Quality & Safety Control: Enforce strict health, hygiene, and sanitation standards (such as HACCP). Ensure all dishes are prepared according to exact recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Inventory & Purchasing: Monitor stock levels, order ingredients, and manage vendor relationships to prevent shortages and minimize food waste.
- Financial Management: Monitor budgets, track food and labor costs, and optimize kitchen operations to maximize profitability.
- Workflow Optimisation: Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service, and troubleshoot kitchen bottlenecks to reduce wait times.
