Director of Operations

I am delighted to be recruiting for a Director of Operations role on behalf of my client in the Munster area. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to join an expanding business and lead the growth of the company.
The role will involve the oversight of a diverse business portfolio including Bar, restaurant, various commercial and domestic residential accommodation. The role will be Mon-Friday office hours with the possibility of 1 day remote working per week. The role will be a hands-on role with a large diversity of tasks and responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage operational budgets, control costs, forecast expenditures, and ensure financial targets are met.
- Supporting the different business managers with financial reporting to directors.
- Hiring of permanent staff and contractors.
- Management and oversight of expansion projects and accommodation facility upgrades.
- Manage daily operations across all departments (e.g., front office, housekeeping, food & beverage) to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Oversee cleanliness, facility maintenance, supply levels, and overall operational quality to meet established standards.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and guest experience.
- Develop business development and marketing strategies for the different businesses
- Facilitate communication across the businesses and foster a culture of business excellence
Skills Required:
- Experience in hospitality or retail sector is a must.
- Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse array of people from grass-roots operations to corporate clients.
- Sound business acumen
- Good understanding of HR policies and practices in the hospitality/retail industry
- Good problem solving and decision making skills
