I am delighted to be recruiting on behalf of my client for a Head Chef in the Wexford area. Our client is a busy well-known Bar & Restaurant with a strong food-led offering are seeking an experienced Head Chef to drive the leadership of its culinary operations. This role is ideal for a skilled chef who thrives in a quality-driven kitchen environment, leading teams during service while maintaining exceptional food standards.

Your Responsibilities

  • Support the Management in the day-to-day running of kitchen operations

  • Lead kitchen teams during service ensuring consistency, timing, and presentation

  • Assist with menu development, costing, and seasonal planning

  • Supervise and train junior chefs while supporting team development

  • Monitor stock control, ordering, and food cost management

  • Ensure HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards are consistently maintained

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a quality kitchen

  • Strong leadership and team management skills

  • Experience managing food costs, ordering, and kitchen operations

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, service-driven environment
