A busy hotel with a strong meetings, weddings, and events offering is seeking an experienced Assistant Banqueting Manager to support the delivery of high-volume events. This role suits a hospitality professional with strong conference and banqueting exposure who is also confident supporting duty management responsibilities across the property.

Your Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and execution of conferences, weddings, and banqueting events

  • Supervise event service teams to ensure smooth and professional delivery

  • Assist with staffing, floor setup, and operational coordination

  • Act as Duty Manager when required, supporting overall hotel operations

  • Liaise with kitchen, bar, and events teams to ensure seamless service

  • Maintain service standards, health, safety, and hygiene compliance

Requirements

  • Previous experience in banqueting or conference operations

  • Duty management experience preferred

  • Strong leadership and organisational skills

  • Ability to manage high-volume service environments

  • Excellent communication and team coordination abilities
