We are seeking a confident, detail-oriented and guest-focused Conference & Banqueting Manager to oversee all weddings, meetings, and events at the hotel. From show rounds to breakdowns, your ability to lead a team and create memorable guest experiences will be key to your success.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in ahospitalityleadership position, has a flair for events, and is highly organised and hands-on.
What You’ll Need
- Strong wedding and event management experience
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Proven skills in F&B staff training, customer service delivery, and service etiquette
- Comfortable with report writing, emails, training plans, and admin tasks
- Strong leadership skills to manage and motivate a team
- Excellent attention to detail with a drive to exceed guest expectations
- Highly organised and capable of prioritising under pressure
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- A professional and polished appearance
- 5 years’ experience in hospitality management preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate all weddings, conferences, and banqueting operations
- Ensure function rooms are perfectly set up and broken down for each event
- Maintain clear communication and updates with the Wedding & Events Manager
- Conduct wedding show rounds when the Events Manager is unavailable
- Support the Sales, Weddings & Events teams in all banquet-related operations
- Stay up to date on menus, pricing, and promotions; liaise with the Sales & Marketing Director to drive new business
- Assist in organising and delivering guest and staff promotional events
- Ensure all new products (e.g. wine lists, props) are introduced to high standards
- Deliver all banqueting services to the highest level of excellence
- Respond promptly to guest requests and feedback to ensure complete satisfaction
- Monitor competitor activity and suggest improvements to services or pricing as needed
- Collaborate with other departments to meet guest expectations seamlessly
- Maintain awareness of hotel promotions and local events
- Complete and manage all relevant maintenance and standards checklists
- Promote a positive team environment with fairness and consistency
- Keep the wedding storage area tidy and well-organised
- Train, guide, and upskill the banqueting team to desired service levels
