An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sales Manager for a luxury 5 star property in County Cork.
What we are looking for:
· Previous experience in a similar role within the tourism, hospitality or retail sector is desirable but not essential
· Proactive, self-motivated individual with an ability to work on their own initiative
· Attention to detail and organisational skills
· Excellent Customer Service and Communication Skills with fluency in spoken and written English
· Excellent Interpersonal skills
· Full drivers’ licence with access to own car is essential for this role
· Immaculate Grooming
· 3rd level Tourism, Hospitality or Business Diploma or equivalent desirable
· Basic Computer Skills
Responsibilities:
· Account manage new and existing accounts
· Manage all client enquiries in a timely and professional manner
· Create and send proposals to clients
· Follow up to convert and contract business
· Work with the onsite Reservations & Events teams to convert live enquiries into confirmed business for both hotels
· Organise & conduct regular client meetings, presentations, site visits and familiarizations trips to promote the hotel’s offerings to clients
· Represent the hotels at networking events, breakfast briefings, award ceremonies, dinners and other business events with the objective of acquiring new business.
· Attend relevant Trade Shows and Events, locally, nationally and internationally.
· Actively seek out Sales Leads from internal and external sources i.e. Opera, Events, Reservations and Front Office Teams as well as through media platforms
· Actively research and target new business for both hotels.
· Complete Weekly and Monthly Sales Reports
· Utilize Opera Cloud (CRM system) to its full capacity as a sales tool to record Account, Contact and other sales information.
· Attend Weekly Management Meetings, Revenue, Sales and Marketing Meetings and any other internal meetings when required.
· Assist in the training of any new starters in the Sales & Events departments of both properties.
· Assist in the Events Departments of both properties if required i.e. send proposals, conduct site inspections, show rounds, follow up call, emails, updating Opera (CRM system)
· Achieve budgeted goals as set out in the annual budget.
