Executive Sous Chef

Location: Cork City

Salary: €60k plus

Hours: Daytime, Monday to Friday 

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Executive Sous Chef for our client, a leading food services provider based in Cork. 

In this position the Executive Sous Chef will manage the team and ensure food production and is carried out to the highest standards. This is a busy operation and you will need to be very hands-on and customer focused.

*The ideal candidate would be coming from a 5* background or high end corporate catering*

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a large team of Culinary professionals in their service delivery in a fast paced environment as Sous Chef.
  • Ensure that as a Sous Chef the highest standards of Food Safety and Hygiene are maintained in the kitchens and associated areas in line with current legislation.
  • Training and mentoring of team along with food development.
  • The Sous Chef will need to promote energy, innovation, and food culture across numerous kitchens and motivation of a large team culinary professionals.
  • Maintain good communications and working relationships with your team, customers, and the wider team.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous Sous Chef experience as a leader of a substantial kitchen brigades with responsibility for food production and labour management.
  • 5+ years experience in a 4*or 5* hotel – people development / finance / stake holder management
  • Proven track record in multiple high volume kitchens – scale / innovation
