Financial Controller – Leading 4-Star Hotel | Limerick

Our client, a well-established and award-winning 4-star hotel in the heart of Limerick, is seeking a Financial Controller to join their senior management team. This is an excellent opportunity which may suit an Assistant Financial Controller or an experienced Hotel Accountant looking to step up.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the daily operations of the finance department in conjunction with the Group Financial Controller.

Support the development and management of the hotel’s finance team.

Assist with the implementation and maintenance of internal financial controls.

Prepare bank reconciliations and other monthly balance sheet controls.

Contribute to the preparation of monthly management accounts.

Collaborate with the General Manager and Group FC on weekly P&L forecasting.

Monitor and update revenue and cost forecasts.

Generate weekly revenue reports and performance metrics.

Manage the payroll function, including monthly salary processing.

Address employee queries related to payroll and social welfare matters.

Support audit preparation and liaise with external auditors as required.
Essential Criteria:

Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant (ACCA, AAT or equivalent).

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a hotel finance role at a similar level.

Proficient in Sage 50 Accounts and payroll processing.

Experience with Alkimii, Procure Wizard and opera would be an advantage

Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
