Leisure Centre Manager
Salary: €35-38k

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operation of the leisure centre, ensuring it runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Manage the pool, gym, spa, and other fitness or recreational areas, maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
- Schedule and supervise staff to ensure excellent service and cover for all shifts.
- Implement and enforce hotel policies, procedures, and standards across the leisure facilities.
- Provide outstanding customer service to hotel guests, ensuring their needs are met with the highest level of professionalism and courtesy.
- Handle guest feedback, concerns, and complaints promptly, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Develop and implement a guest experience strategy that enhances leisure services and promotes customer loyalty.
- Recruit, train, and manage leisure centre staff, including fitness instructors, lifeguards, spa therapists, and support staff.
- Foster a positive, motivated team atmosphere and conduct performance reviews to ensure continual improvement.
- Organise staff training in health and safety, first aid, and any other relevant areas.
- Ensure all health and safety guidelines are followed, including regular risk assessments, maintenance schedules, and cleaning protocols.
- Ensure all staff are trained in emergency procedures and have the necessary certifications (e.g., lifeguard, first aid).
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and legal requirements relating to leisure facilities.
- Manage the leisure centre’s budget, including controlling costs and maximizing revenue through memberships, guest usage, and services.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators, developing strategies to meet targets.
- Implement revenue-generating initiatives, such as special offers, packages, or seasonal promotions.
- Collaborate with the hotel’s marketing team to promote leisure services to hotel guests, local residents, and potential members.
- Assist in the development of promotional material, including digital content, signage, and in-room guest information.
- Create and manage events, fitness classes, and other activities to attract and engage guests.
- Ensure all leisure facilities are well-maintained, clean, and up to high standards of presentation.
- Liaise with maintenance and housekeeping teams to address any equipment or facility issues promptly.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
Candidate:
- Proven experience (2+ years) as a Leisure Centre Manager or in a similar role within a hotel or leisure environment.
- A degree or relevant qualification in Leisure Management, Sports Management, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, including first aid, CPR, and emergency procedures.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in managing staff, budgeting, and operational planning.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for fitness, health, and well-being with a customer-centric approach.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays.
- Qualifications in personal training, group fitness instruction, or spa therapies.
- Familiarity with hotel property management systems (PMS) or leisure management software.
