Junior Chef de Partie

Salary: €30k

Location: Kildare

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes within your section
  • Maintain high food standards in both à la carte service and event catering
  • Work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to develop new dishes and menus
  • Prepare ingredients and support other sections as needed during busy periods
  • Follow kitchen procedures for food hygiene, storage, and health & safety
  • Help set up and close down sections efficiently and hygienically
  • Contribute to smooth service during weddings and events, including off-site functions
  • Maintain a clean and organised workstation

Candidate:

  • Previous kitchen experience (1+ year preferred, ideally in a gastropub or event setting)
  • Culinary qualification or formal training (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Able to work under pressure and maintain standards during busy services
  • A keen eye for detail and passion for fresh, seasonal food
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and longer shifts during events
  • Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene Certificate.
