Wedding & Events Coordinator
As a Wedding & Events Co-ordinator you will report into the General Manager
Duties and Responsibilities
- You will act as a main point of contact for all wedding queries.
- working closely alongside the Management team and Sales & Marketing with regards to all events.
- You will work with the relevant teams, coordinating the necessary information to ensure all customer expectations are exceeded and actively encourage and collate customer feedback to set service benchmarks.
- You will develop professional working relationships with customers and clients.
- You will be integral part of the clients event, and need to closely liaise with wedding couples and clients to ensure that the service provided consistently exceeds expectations.
Knowledge and Experience
- A relevant degree or diploma in Event Management would be desirable but is not essential.
- Possess extensive knowledge of hospitality industry and the level of detail required to run both events and weddings.
- Proven exemplary customer service and sales skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong proven track record within the hotel industry.
- Excellent presentation skills
- Very strong administration skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to priorities tasks and manage own work schedule/agenda
- Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure
- Strong financial acumen
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Excel reporting and word
· Experience using Hotsoft, MAPOSA and Alkimii
