We are currently recruiting for a Sous Chef for our client in the South Dublin area. They are seeking someone who is passionate about food and detail oriented, thrives in a fast paced environment and looking to grow with the company.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure full adherence to Hygiene and Safety
- Support the kitchen operations for the property
- Support the Head Chef in their duties
- Lead by example in excellent food production
- Assist in the training of existing and new staff in accordance to standards
- To pass on all knowledge that will help the property in its day-to-day running
- Maintain a high level of food quality which will exceed guest’s expectations with every dish.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Prior experience as a Senior Chef de Partie/ Junior Sous would be advantageous.
- Is hands on and enjoys working in a fast paced environment with proven ability to control service from the front to ensure maximum results during peak periods with an unrelenting focus on quality.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and work in a fast-paced environment.
- People leadership, mentoring, coaching and development experience.
- Ability to build relationships and influence within all levels of the business.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Demonstrates creativity in food presentation and a passion for creating delightful dishes
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle pressure in a high-volume kitchen.
- Comprehensive knowledge of food safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment. Experience in dealing with EHO audits and relevant regulatory bodies.
