Sous Chef – Dublin – Mon-Fri
Dublin City Centre, Full Time
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Sous Chef for our client, a busy corporate catering unit based in Dublin 4.
Salary: €38k
Location: Dublin city centre
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the design and development of menus
- Food innovation and menu engineering.
- Organisation of Kitchen to ensure effective resourcing and competence to deliver daily menu.
- Responsible to ensure that food hygiene standards are implemented, maintained and that all records are completed in line comply with company procedures, E.H.O, Q.A, and H.A.C.C.P requirements
- Be aware expenditure and retain efficient budget control in the kitchen focusing on the key impact areas of food cost, staff cost, utilities, equipment maintenance, operating supplies.
- Assist with the training of kitchen staff members
- Support the recruitment, induction and on-going training of Chefs in the unit
The Ideal Candidate:
- 2-3 years experience as in a similar role
- Experience in banqueting or corporate catering would be an advantage
- Experience with food costing and menu innovation
- Positive, can do attitude
