Senior Hotel Receptionist

Salary: €30k

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist guests upon arrival and departure, ensuring all interactions are positive, friendly, and professional.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to guest inquiries and concerns, escalating issues to management when necessary.
  • Ensure a seamless check-in/check-out experience for all guests, including handling payments and any special requests.
  • Supervise and train junior reception staff, ensuring adherence to hotel policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, offering guidance and support to front desk employees.
  • Manage shift rotations and ensure sufficient staffing levels during peak hours.
  • Oversee room bookings, cancellations, and modifications in the reservation system, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date availability.
  • Assist guests with room preferences and special requests to ensure their needs are met.
  • Handle guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently, ensuring accurate billing and payment processes.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the front desk and other reception services, including guest transportation arrangements, concierge services, and general inquiries.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of hotel services, facilities, and local attractions to provide recommendations to guests.
  • Monitor and manage guest accounts, ensuring billing accuracy and timely payment processing.
  • Resolve guest complaints and issues with professionalism, efficiency, and tact, escalating to management if required.
  • Maintain a high level of guest satisfaction by ensuring all requests and issues are addressed promptly.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping for guest details, reservations, and billing.
  • Perform nightly reports and audits to ensure the hotel’s financial and guest data are accurate.
  • Comply with all safety and emergency procedures to ensure the well-being of guests and staff.
  • Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and presentable at all times.

 

Candidate:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hotel reception or front desk role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or senior receptionist position.
  • Experience in managing reservations, guest check-in/check-out procedures, and handling customer complaints effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with guests and colleagues.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle guest complaints or difficult situations with tact.
  • A professional and polished appearance, with an ability to always maintain a high level of service.
