F&B Duty Manager
Salary: €40k

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supervise all food and beverage operations, including restaurants, bars, room service, and events.
- Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, service, and presentation across all food and beverage areas.
- Coordinate staff shifts, breaks, and service schedules to ensure optimal coverage at all times.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests promptly and professionally.
- Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering supplies, and ensure proper inventory management.
- Lead, train, and motivate a team of food and beverage attendants, waitstaff, and chefs.
- Provide guidance on customer service techniques and product knowledge.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback for staff development.
- Ensure team members adhere to hotel policies, health & safety regulations, and food hygiene standards.
- Ensure every guest receives a welcoming and personalized experience.
- Handle any guest complaints or special requests with a calm and professional approach.
- Monitor service quality to ensure that every dining experience meets the hotel’s standards.
- Ensure compliance with local health, safety, and licensing laws.
- Ensure that all food and beverage activities adhere to hygiene standards and help maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Oversee the correct handling of food, beverage, and equipment, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed.
- Assist in managing the department’s budget by controlling costs, monitoring waste, and maintaining profitability.
- Support the Food and Beverage Manager with reporting on daily operations, sales figures, and expenses.
- Work closely with the kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Liaise with other hotel departments (front desk, housekeeping, events) to facilitate seamless guest experiences.
- Ensure that all relevant information (e.g., VIP guests, dietary restrictions) is communicated clearly to all team members.
Candidate:
- Previous experience in a food and beverage management or supervisory role, ideally in a hotel or large-scale hospitality setting.
- Knowledge of various food and beverage operations (restaurants, bars, events, room service).
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with staff and guests.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and handle stressful situations.
- Excellent organisational skills with an eye for detail.
- Understanding of food safety, health and safety regulations, and licensing requirements.
- Basic financial acumen (e.g., budgeting, cost control).
- A degree or diploma in hospitality management, food and beverage management, or a related field (preferred).
- Passion for customer service and guest satisfaction.
- Positive and proactive attitude, with the ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet.
