We are currently recruiting for an experienced Events Manager for a stunning property in Cork.

The ideal Events Manager will lead a team of Event Executives organising conference business for the property. Maintain and exceed sales targets set by management. Liaise directly with clients and department heads, negotiating rates and confirming meeting and event needs.

Events Manager Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations of the Events Department to ensure targets are met.
  • Manage all SOP’s
  • Stay in line with departmental budgets
  • Regular reporting and performance reviews
  • Selling the properties wedding/banquet/event options to the highest standard
  • Handle client enquiries from start to finish, arranging property show rounds and negotiate space, dates and rates to reach booking goals
  • Minimise the impact of low activity periods
  • Attend trade & travel shows for promoting hotels and event business

Events Manager Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 3rd level degree in hospitality or relevant field
  • minimum of 3 years in a similar role
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Ability to multi-task under pressure
  • Comfortable leading a team
  • Ability to develop targeted prospect databases
  • Hotsoft system knowledge a distinct advantage
