Deputy General Manager €55k

We are currently recruiting for a Deputy GM for our client. We are looking for a driven manager that can lead the team and be proactive in driving sales and maintaining standards for the property.

  • To direct the hotel operation and its managers in achieving and maintaining standards, ensuring consistent compliance and adherence to recommended guidelines.
  • To forecast meeting on a weekly basis, ensuring the information provided is accurate and correct.
  • To ensure purchasing is controlled at all times, sourcing competitive prices and arrangements with suppliers whilst ensuring the quality of the product.
  • To work with the Departmental Managers in establishing and implementing standards of performance manuals within all departments, ensuring all services offered are of the highest quality and all employees are trained in the delivery of same.
  • To work closely with the Food and Beverage Manager, encouraging good communication between the hotel and agreed standards are adhered to at all times.
  • To work with the Head Chef in reviewing menus and standards for the restaurant on an ongoing basis, ensuring that the standard consistently meets the expectation of the guests.
  • To be responsible for ensuring that cash procedures are followed in relation to the following:
  • To oversee training at the hotel, ensuring statutory training is ongoing and proactive, and that succession plans are in place for key positions in all departments.
  • To maintain the standards agreed in the hotel Safety Statement, monitoring all aspects of fire safety, chairing the H&S committee and establishing a viable reporting and recording system for all H&S issues.
  • To carry out effective recruitment of employees within the hotel, ensuring the right people with the right skills, are in the right place at the right time, controlling labour costs to budgets.
  • To attend Hotel Meetings as required, ensuring effective communication at all levels.
  • To create an environment which promotes employee morale and encourages the Team to have pride and commitment in their area of work.
  • To comply with statutory and legal requirements for Health & Safety, Fire, Hygiene, Licensing and Employment, ensuring that members of the Team are trained and aware of these requirements.
