We are currently recruiting for a Catering Operations Manager role for our client. We are looking for an ambitious and friendly hospitality professional to work five days over seven and who can offer a diverse range of skills. The Catering Operations Manager will be well-versed in all operational concepts within the food and hospitality industry, incorporating these concepts in a fast-paced environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Create a link between the administration side of the business, and the kitchen operations side of the Business, assuring that an efficient working relationship is constantly upheld.
  • Oversees the daily operations of the business, ensuring efficiency, employee and client satisfaction.
  • Building and maintaining client relationships is essential.
  • Managing and communicating with all other staff members to determine events schedules, rosters, and company logistics, such as event timings, food/staff transport, deliveries, and all other catering requirements.
  • Full HACCP knowledge and training
  • Coordinating with external vendors to provide Hire equipment, courier companies, supplies, packaging procurement, and other necessary materials.
  • Reviewing quotes that are sent to clients to ensure accuracy of services and pricing.
  • Supervising the staff who work within the business, hiring and training all new staff members.
  • Overseeing quotations and expenditure to ensure that costs are kept under control.
  • Manage relationships with retail and event clients, from initial interaction, through to Menu design and final invoice
  • Manage all financial aspects of the company, from costings, suppliers, and staff timekeeping.

Requirements

  • Given the nature of the business occasional weekend and evening work is expected.
  • This role requires flexibility between the office and working off site at events.
  • Developing and implementing training programs for employees on proper etiquette for serving clients.
  • HACCP Certification
  • Experience in financial administration and invoicing.
  • Team Player with an ability to manage a workload and a fast moving environment.
  • Highly organised, detail-orientated and hands on individual with strong interpersonal skills in order to coordinate effectively between multiple areas of the business.
