Catering & Events Coordinator

We are currently recruiting for a Catering & Events Coordinator for our client. We are looking for a passionate coordinator who comes with and events and administration background. This position would suit a person that is looking to progress with a growing company, has excellent attention to detail and is driven.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicating & providing excellent customer service skills
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Being organised and the ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high-level attention to detail
  • Upselling & cross selling to ensure maximum revenue
  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high-level attention to detail
  • Excellent selling capabilities and the ability and desire to coach selling techniques
  • Requires the ability to be flexible and adapt to change in all arears of the role
  • Food and beverage product knowledge
  • Handle catering inquiries/input catering quotes in the system per customers enquiry
  • Book reservations and discuss menus and handle clients problems and complaints
  • Communicate effectively with the Head of Catering
  • Planning ahead for up & coming calendar events.
  • Organising & coordinating catering timelines.

 

Ideal Candidate

  • 2 years’ experience in an administrative role
  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry is preferred but not required
  • Strong work ethic
  • Organised & punctual
  • Knowledge and proficiency of computers and willingness to learn new systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Proven ability to affect sales leads.
  • Strong time management
  • Creative and current experience in Ireland.
