Our client is currently recruiting a Assistant Sommelier to join the team. This individual must have a extensive knowledge of various wines and aperitifs. A person, who likes to keep very much up to date on current wines, coming into the market and vintages. Must have knowledge of storing wines and the serving of them. A person who has come from a background of creating wine list. Working closely with Head Chef in matching wines with the various menus. This role would suit a person, who has either worked with wines or have the passion for them and knowledge.
Candidate
- Have full understanding of how wine lists are comprised.
- Knowledge of matching wine with food.
- Understand the different varietals.
- Have completed or similar to the W E S T courses.
- Have extensive knowledge of the storage and presentation of wines
